Thailand assures Covid BQ.1.1, XBB variants not in country


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The Covid BQ.1.1 and XBB variants have not spread in Thailand, with most patients being infected with Omicron, the Disease Control Department (DDC) confirmed.

DDC acting director-general Dr Tares Krassanairawiwong (pic) said on Wednesday (Oct 12) that both BQ.1.1 and XBB have reportedly been found in foreign countries and have spread quickly.
