VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The defence ministries of Lao, Vietnam and Cambodia will enhance cooperation to prevent illegal migration, transnational crimes, human and drug trafficking, smuggling, arms trade and other crimes.
These issues were discussed at a trilateral meeting in Vientiane last week between the ministers of national defence of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. The meeting was attended by Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister and National Defence Minister, General Chansamone Chanyalath, Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, General Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, and Vietnam’s Minister of National Defence, General Phan Van Giang.
