Myanmar to open new university from academic year 2022-2023


YANGON, Aug. 30 (Xinhua): Myanmar will open the University of Technology, Nay Pyi Taw, starting from this academic year 2022-2023, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The university will provide six types of degree courses including civil engineering, electronic engineering, electric power engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering and IT, and architectural engineering, an official told Xinhua.

The academy will select the candidates based on the minimum marks in a total of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, he added.

The courses are aimed at improving vocational opportunities for the youths in the socioeconomic development of the country and producing qualified engineers for the benefit of the country, according to local media. - Xinhua
