VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Houses, farmland and roads in low-lying areas of Vientiane and the provinces were flooded following several hours of torrential rain on Aug 21.
In Vientiane province, heavy downpours caused the Xay River to burst its banks and flood residential areas and farmland in Meuangfeuang district.
