Brunei youth break national record with longest traditional snack roll

TEMBURONG (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Temburong youth did the district proud when they completed a kelupis braid project and made their mark in the Brunei Book of Records with a record-breaking 221.43-m-long braid.

Kelupis are essentially steamed glutinous rice rolls wrapped in nyirik leaves. The traditional snack remains as one of the favourite delicacies in the country commonly served along with its condiments of curry or rendang.
