SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): The number of new Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore surged on Thursday (May 5) to 4,733, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an update on its website.

This was higher than the 1,638 cases reported on Wednesday.
