Conference zooms in on Brunei hostel business

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Brunei Darussalam will be represented by CoLiving Hostel at the Hostelworld Conference currently taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

CoLiving Hostel takes part in the hosteling category at the conference organised by leading online travel agent Hostelworld Group from April 4-6.

During the conference, Nur Maizura Mohd Said of CoLiving Hostel said they attend briefings on solo system, Roamies by Hostelworld & G Adventures, solo female travel, global market performance and supply update, spotlight on sustainability, working together to promote your hostel, product update and automation is key.

Nur Maizura, who is also founder of PayGlass Company, will get a chance to build networks with more than 100 participants from around the world including Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands and Poland.

“The conference is exciting and gives great networking opportunities with other hostel owners. When we connect during this conference, we make deals to host each other in our hostel in the respective countries whenever we are able to travel freely,” she said.

The organiser also shared insights on how to improve hostel services in terms of online bookings and using apps.

“Most delegates are fascinated by Brunei while some have never heard about the Sultanate,” Nur Maizura said, adding that she hopes to further promote Brunei.
