Myanmar kyat still weakens against USD in black market


YANGON, Feb 20 (Xinhua): The Myanmar kyat has been depreciating against the US dollar with an exchange rate of over 1,900 kyats per dollar in the local black market in recent days, state-run newspaper Global New Light of Myanmar has reported

The exchange rate was between 1,982-1,990 kyats per dollar on Feb. 16 in the local market although the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) has set the reference exchange rate at 1,778 kyats.
