Laos president tells Luang Namtha to realise national agendas

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Party Secretary General and President Thongloun Sisoulith has told authorities in Luang Namtha to take action to realise the national agendas, which include addressing financial and economic difficulties and suppressing narcotics trafficking.

The president gave the directive during a working trip to the northern province via the Laos-China Railway on Monday. He was welcomed in Luang Namtha by provincial Governor Khamlay Sipaseuth and local officials.
