Germany extends support for climate protection, reduced deforestation

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has pledged an additional EUR1,000,000 for the Climate Protection through Avoided Deforestation project in Laos”.

An agreement on the amended technical implementation of the project was signed by the Department of Forestry and GIZ recently at an event attended by the directors of the Department of Forestry and the Lao Environment Protection Fund, as well as officials from the German Embassy to Laos.
