S. Korean company to study upgrade of Luang Prabang airport


Lao and Korean officials display signed agreements on a feasibility study for the upgrade of Luang Prabang International Airport. - VT

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The government has given the green light to the Korea Airport Corporation (KAC) to carry out a feasibility study for the upgrade of Luang Prabang International Airport, at an estimated cost of about US$100 million.

A memorandum of understanding on the project was signed last week by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Sthabandith Insisienmay and the president of KAC, Son Chang Wan.
