Three killed, two injured in Lao UXO explosion


VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Three men working as part of a survey team with UXO Lao were killed instantly and two others were injured when searching for unexploded ordnance on a coffee plantation in Pakxong district, Champassak province, on Friday (Dec 3).

An official with the Lao National Unexploded Ordnance Programme (UXO Lao) told Vientiane Times the tragic accident occurred at about 9:30am as team members were undertaking routine survey and clearance operations.
