Migrants usher in Deepavali and look forward to more freedom

ON most days, Mathiyalagan Karthikeyan has simple meals of vegetables, curry and rice.

But yesterday, the 38-year-old migrant worker from India forked out an additional S$20 (RM60), buying 1.5kg of crab to cook curry in his dormitory unit.
