More than 85,000 businesses leave Vietnam market amid pandemic


HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/Asia News Network): Around 85,500 businesses across the country have suspended operations in the first eight months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 24.2 per cent, according to the General Statistics Office.

The major Covid-19 outbreak and social distancing severely affected business activities, especially in the south, it said.
