Brunei: Cable thefts cause BND170, 000 in damages


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 11 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Cable thefts have seen an increase over the past years with 33 incidents recorded from January to May this year, at a total loss of BND170, 000, said Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) Enforcement Unit Marketing Regulation Group Manager Aedy Azmani bin Haji Azahari.

He said 24 thefts were recorded last year with losses totalling BND30, 000 while three cases were reported in 2019 with losses amounting to BND4, 000.
