Body cameras now mandatory for cops when serving warrants in Philippines

MANILA, July 10 (Philippines Daily Inquirer/ANN): Law enforcement officers in the Philippines are now required to use body-worn cameras when implementing search and arrest warrants.

Based on the Supreme Court’s Administrative Matter 21-06-08-SC dated June 29, 2021, the failure of the law enforcers to comply will render the evidence seized inadmissible for the prosecution of the offense for which the search warrant was applied.
