Virus-hit Indonesia receives emergency medical supplies; Singapore and Australia give assistance

Jakarta, July 9, 2021 (AFP): Indonesia received desperately needed supplies of oxygen and protective equipment from neighbouring Singapore on Friday to support its overwhelmed healthcare system, as the country battles its deadliest coronavirus wave yet.

Singapore will ship hundreds of ventilators and cylinders, along with other medical supplies, while Australiaalso is set to send 1,000 ventilators arriving Friday, according to a statement from coordinating ministry for maritime and investment affairs.
