Muara Port Company growth engine for Brunei’s economy

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Four years ago, Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) was incorporated as a joint venture company between Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd and Beibu Gulf Holding (Hong Kong) Co Ltd, intended to be one of the growth engines for the nation’s economy, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah said.

“Since then, we have not looked back; and MPC has been able to contribute significantly to Brunei Darussalam’s economic diversification efforts by leveraging on the capabilities and synergies of both shareholders, Darussalam Assets and Beibu Gulf Holding, ” he said in his opening remarks as Chairman of Muara Port, at the pre-commencement of the MPC expansion at Lot 5975, which adjoins the existing Muara Container Terminal, on Monday (July 5)
