HANOI, June 26 (Reuters): Vietnam received US$9.24 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first six months of the year, up 6.8% from a year earlier, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has announced yo the media.

FDI pledges - which indicate the size of future FDI disbursements - dropped 2.8% in the year to $15.27 billion, the ministry said in a statement.
