SINGAPORE, June 4 (The Straits Times/ANN): The Department of Statistics (DOS) of Singapore has announced that Singapore's retail sales surged by 54 per cent year on year in April, compared to the revised 6.3 percent year-on-year increase recorded in March.
DOS attributed the larger increase to the low base in April 2020 when the Circuit Breaker measures were implemented due to Covid-19, and physical stores were closed for most of the month.
