Covid deaths hit new daily high in Thailand

BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): The number of daily Covid-19 deaths reached a new high on Wednesday (May 26) at 41, with 2,455 new infections.

In the past 24 hours there have been 2,455 new cases, 479 of these being found in prisons, the Public Health Ministry reported on Wednesday morning.

As of Wednesday, 2,571 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

Cumulative cases in the country stand at 137,894, with 873 deaths. - The Nation/Asia News Network
