India sends help to search Indonesia's missing submarine

NEW DELHI, April 23 (Xinhua): India has send its deep submergence rescue vessel in search and rescue efforts for the Indonesian submarine KRI Nanggala-402 which was reported missing on Wednesday (April 21), an Indian Navy official said.

The Indonesian submarine was said to be exercising in the waters north of Bali Island with 53 people on board, when it suddenly went missing. Soon, an alert was received by the Indian Navy through International Submarine Escape and Rescue Liaison Office (ISMERLO).
