Highest daily increase in cases confirmed


IT was confirmed that 105 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, the highest single-day number of infections since the disease hit the kingdom, said a Ministry of Health (MoH) statement.

The figure surpassed the previous highest daily record of 65 cases on Feb 25. Of the new cases, 64 were found in Kandal province, 29 in capital Phnom Penh, eight in Preah Sihanouk province, three in Koh Kong province and one in Prey Veng province, the statement said, adding that the new patients are undergoing treatment at various designated Covid-19 hospitals.
