KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters): A Malaysian court on Tuesday (March 8) granted international human rights groups the right to challenge the country's recent deportation of more than 1,000 Myanmar nationals to their homeland, the groups' lawyer told Reuters.
The Malaysian government deported the Myanmar nationals last month, just hours after an interim court order banning their departure ahead of a legal hearing on a bid by Amnesty International and Asylum Access to halt the plan.
