China ready to build closer community with shared future with Asean, says Wang Yi

BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to work with the Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) to build an even closer community with a shared future and open up another 30 years of even greater cooperation, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday.

In fact, the top Chinese officer said that China and Asean countries need to remove distractions and press ahead with consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.
