Philippines: More Covid-19 variants found as 1,960 new cases confirmed; virus total now at 547,255

MANILA, Feb 13 (Xinhua): The Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines reported on Saturday another 1,960 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 547,255.

The death toll climbed to 11,507 after 12 more patients died from the viral disease, the DOH said. It added 133 more patients recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 500,781.
