China's Xi stresses Hong Kong leaders must be patriotic

BEIJING (China Daily/ANN): President Xi Jinping stressed the significance of patriotism in the governance of Hong Kong and he voiced strong support for the work of the government on Wednesday (Jan 27).

Xi made the remark after hearing via video link Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie 's report on the government's work over the past year. Xi also heard a report from Macau Chief Executive Ho Iat-seng.
