Indonesia records inflation at 1.68% in 2020 as total Covid-19 cases goes above 772,000

JAKARTA, Jan. 4 (Xinhua): Indonesia recorded inflation at 1.68 per cent throughout 2020, amid weakening demand and purchasing power due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Central Agency of Statistics said on Monday.

This figure is far lower than the target between 2 per cent and 4 per cent set by the central bank, Bank Indonesia.
