Confucius Institute in Laos celebrates 10th anniversary


VIENTIANE, Nov 1 (Xinhua): The Confucius Institute at the National University of Laos (NUOL) held a "Confucius Institute Day" on Friday and celebrated its 10th anniversary in Lao capital Vientiane.

Somsy Gnophanxay, the NUOL president said in his speech that over the past 10 years, the NUOL Confucius Institute has made great contributions to the development in language and culture sector in Laos, provided a platform for many Lao students to learn authentic Chinese language and culture, and played an important role in the exchanges between the two countries.
