Myanmar: Covid-19 rising to record numbers as restriction measures extended till end of October

YANGON, Sept 29 (Xinhua): With the Covid-19 numbers rising and surging, Myanmar's Foreign Affairs Ministry on Tuesday announced the extension of Covid-19 restriction measures until Oct 31 to contain the spread of the virus outbreak.

The extension will be applied to the temporary entry restrictions for all travellers from foreign countries, temporary suspension of all types of visas including social visit visas and visa exemption services, the ministry said.
