Laos-China railway's 75 tunnels nearing 100% completion


MUANG NGA (Laos), Sept 26 (Vientiane Times/ANN): Authorities will soon hold an event to mark the completion of all 75 tunnels built as part of the US$5.9-billion railway linking Vientiane to the Chinese border.

A Chinese engineering company this week has finished drilling the Ban Phoukeua tunnel in Nga district, Oudomxay province, some 400km north of Vientiane, according to a Xinhua report.
