Bomb attack on police officers in southern Philippines kills two, injures four


MANILA, July 11 (Xinhua): An improvised explosive device that went off on a road in Maguindanao Province in southern Philippines have killed a police officer and a civilian, the Philippine National Police chief said on Saturday.

General Archie Gamboa said four other police officers have also been wounded in the convoy attack that took place on Thursday some 300 meters away from the provincial police headquarters in Shariff Aguak town.
