White paper: Xi always in charge of China's Covid-19 response


BEIJING (Xinhua): Chinese President Xi Jinping has attached high importance to Covid-19 (coronavirus) prevention and control and assumed full command over the control efforts from the very beginning, said a white paper released by the State Council Information Office on Sunday (June 7).

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, called for a nationwide effort to block the spread of the virus and defeat it, said the white paper "Fighting COVID-19: China in Action."
