KUALA LUMPUR: Nosey Monkey! For some, this was the name that instantly came to mind when asked to name the country’s tourism mascot.
Just seven days into the Proboscis Monkey Mascot Name Contest, the organisers have received more than 1,000 names, many of them peculiar to match the characteristics of this endangered species that is considered an ecological treasure and native to the heartland of Borneo and Sabah, in particular.
