The Goods and Services Tax has been successfully implemented in 146 countries but many Malaysians are still unaware of its benefits.

She is thus pleased with the one per cent cut in income tax rate announced in the Budget 2013 (for chargeable income up to RM50,000) because some extra money in the pocket is always welcome, especially when prices have been on the rise.
