THE Penang Night Market Traders Association can help traders who are badly affected by the price hike of raw materials, by playing the role of a wholesaler or distributor.
Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia president Rizal Faris Mohideen said the association could look into introducing a concept called the Central Purchasing Unit, which could help traders by selling them items which were used in large quantities such as onions, ginger, oil, vegetables, fish and meat, at a lower price.
