Rosmah, 1MDB apply to strike out Khairuddin's suit

KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and 1Malaysia Development Board (1MDB) have applied to strike out a suit by a former Umno leader who is seeking for the return of jewellery worth US$27.3mil (RM114mil) to 1MDB.

Rosmah's counsel Datuk Mohd Hafarizam Harun said his client had filed the application on Sept 7 on the grounds that the plaintiff, former Batu Kawan Umno vice-chief Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan, had no legal standing to initiate the lawsuit and had failed to provide specific details in the claim.
