700 summonses issued in joint police ops

GEORGE TOWN: Police issued summonses for over 700 traffic offences after checking about 470 vehicles in an operation in Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and Bayan Lepas.

Called Ops Tembak Tahan/Mabuk/Lain-Lain Kesalahan (speed trap, drink driving and other offences), it was a joint operation by George Town and Balik Pulau traffic police which began at 11pm on Wednesday.
