Zahid: Rela honorary ranks sold for up to RM30,000

PUTRAJAYA: People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) honorary ranks have been sold to at least 20 people for between RM10,000 and RM30,000 each, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi revealed.

Dr Ahmad Zahid, who is also Home Minister, said an individual "who was not that influential" had also sold so-called Rela cards and certificates, which were not issued by the Rela headquarters.
