Bus catches fire along Jalan Gasing

PETALING JAYA: Thick flames engulfed an express bus here on Saturday, leaving more than 80% of the vehicle destroyed.

The excursion buses (bas persiaran) had caught fire along Jalan Gasing, opposite the Buddhist temple Wat Chetawan.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul confirmed the incident when contacted.

He also said that the department had received a call at around 5.14pm and two units were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was brought under control at 5.49pm.

There were no reported casualties during the incident.
