Two pupils sent to hospital after mercury spill at school


KEPALA BATAS: Two SK Pokok Sena Year Five pupils were rushed to the Kepala Batas Hos­pi­tal to check for mercury poisoning after the metal spilled from a broken thermometer.

Kepala Batas Fire Station officer-in-charge Abdul Aziz Yusoff said a hazmat team rushed to the school in Jalan Pokok Machang after the school’s laboratory assistant alerted the station yesterday.
