KOTA KINABALU: Fearing for the worst on the sighting of a capsized catamaran turned into relief two hours later for search and rescue teams after they found the stranded 22 people, including 12 tourists from China, alive and floating in the sea.
All of them – though badly shaken and exhausted by the 16-hour overnight ordeal after their boat capsized off Pulau Mantanani around 4pm on Thursday – were in high spirits after their rescue.
