Nothing seized during MACC visit, says Ramkarpal

MACC visits to Lim Guan Eng's RM2.8mil bungalow in Pinhorn Road.

GEORGE TOWN: Nothing was seized when the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers visited the home of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at Pinhorn Road here on Sunday evening.

Lawyer Ramkarpal Singh Deo said no items or possessions were seized from the premises during the visit, which lasted from 3.10pm to 4pm.

The DAP secretary general and his wife Betty Chew, accompanied by lawyers and MACC officers, reached Lim’s bungalow in four cars at 3.10pm.

It is learnt that Lim had cancelled all his events on Sunday to assist in the MACC probe.

Earlier, Lim and his wife were at the MACC’s office.

They left the premises, accompanied by their lawyers RSN Rayer and Ramkarpal, at 2.55pm from the building in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Lim and Chew had recorded their statements with MACC two weeks ago over the purchase of the RM2.8mil bungalow and the Taman Manggis land sale.
