Three foreigners in love scam syndicate nabbed


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have nabbed two Nigerians and a Cameroonian over their involvement in a "love scam" syndicate.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (Operations and Intelligence) deputy director Senior Assistant Commissioner Roslan Abd Wahid said the trio, aged between 26 and 29, were detained in a 5am raid at a condominium in Bukit Jalil here Saturday.

He said the suspects were believed to have been actively involved in the syndicate for the past year.

"Police are on the lookout for the remaining members of the syndicate," he told Bernama.

He said the men were being remanded for seven days from Saturday to facilitate investigations. - Bernama
