Woman’s decomposed body found near Chinese temple in Gunung Rapat

IPOH: The decomposed body of a woman clad only in a pair of pink pyjamas was found in front of a Chinese temple in Gunung Rapat here. 

Ipoh deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Noor Rasid said passers-by had stumbled upon the woman's body, which had cut marks along her neck, next to a rubbish trolley in front of the Kwan Yin Tong at about 10.25am Tuesday. 

"We believe the deceased was murdered elsewhere before her body was dumped in front of the temple. 

"The crime could have taken place three to four days prior to the discovery of the body," he said in a statement. 

Supt Mohd Noor added that police had not been able to ascertain the identity of the victim. 

"The victim is believed to be somewhere between her 30s and 40s," he said.
