Malaysian found dead in Ho Chi Minh City hotel room


PETALING JAYA: A 33-year-old Malaysian was found dead in his hotel room in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that the man, Mohd Azhar Abdull Wahab, was found dead in his hotel room.

"The cause of death is still being investigated by the Ho Chi Minh City police," it said.

It said Malaysia's consulate-general in Ho Chi Minh City was informed of Mohd Azhar's death on Thursday.

The ministry added that the consulate-general immediately contacted Mohd Azhar's family to give assistance and support.

"The ministry wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," said the ministry.
