PETALING JAYA: A train malfunction has caused delays along the Ampang and Sri Petaling LRT lines.
"Ampang Line update: We have a train with brake problem. Currently at Bukit Jalil and will be taken out at Bdr Tasik Selatan. Our apologies," @MyRapidKL tweeted at about 7.30pm.
"AG Line Update: Affected train is currently moving towards Chan Sow Lin. Updates will be provided," it added.
A team is currently at the site to manage the situation.
According to @MyRapidKL, shuttle buses were sent to ferry customers from Chan Sow Lin to Sri Petaling and from LRT Awan Besar.
"More buses are on the way. Propose passengers to seek alternate transport for now. We truly regret for the unpleasantness," MyRapidKL said at about 8.30pm.
It also suggested that commuters take the KTM or ERL to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan from KL Sentral.
Service from Ampang to Sentul Timur is not affected by the problem.
"Efforts to remove affected train are still ongoing. Estimated time of completion is appx 1.5 hrs," MyRapidKL said in its latest tweet at about 9.15pm.Already a subscriber? Log in
