43, 200 cans of smuggled beer seized from warehouse

JOHOR BARU: Marine police uncovered an attempt by a syndicate to keep 43,200 cans of alcoholic beverages worth almost RM300,000 at a warehouse near Senai.

Apparently, the beer and stout were meant for the market here during the Chinese New Year celebrations next month, said Marine Police Region Two commander Asst Comm Paul Khiu Khon Chiang.
