KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s bid for the Kajang state seat will not be affected by the prosecution’s pending appeal against his sodomy charge acquittal, according to lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
Shafee, who is the Government-appointed prosecutor in the appeal, however said: “He can still run for the seat provided he appeals and stays the decision. If the decision is not stayed, he might face a problem.”
