Stranded Malaysian in N. Korea keeps daily contact with family

Mohd Nor Azrin Mohd Zain, one of the remaining nine Malaysians stranded in North Korea, keeps contact by telephone everyday with his family in Klang, Selangor. "Syukur Alhamdulilah, we can still keep in touch with him through the telephone although he is not allowed to leave the country." said his youngest sister who refused to reveal her name. The sister was relieved that their 61-year-old mother, Norhayati Hamid, was coping well and carried on her daily routine such as going to the mosque, even though she was worried for his safety. Mohd Nor Azrin is the counsellor at Malaysia's embassy in North Korea. He and several others were stuck there after the communist state banned Malaysians from leaving on Feb 28.
